We provide much more than just a cleaning and gardening service across London, Surrey and Kent. In addition to our cleaning services, gardening services, oven cleaning services, ironing services and handyman services, we provide a personal home assistance service to customers who need a little bit more help around the house if and when they require additional help, either through lack of time or illness or just when overwhelmed with house chores.
Help at Home is so much more than just a cleaning service; we are at your service to make life much more comfortable for you when you need that little extra help when life gets on top of you. We all need a little extra help sometimes and we’re here to provide a hand to make life less stressful and easier for you.
We provide a personal home assistance and tailored service.
Our friendly, vetted, courteous, professional and reliable assistants are hired and trained by us and security checked to ensure your safety. Our home helpers visit regularly if required or come around for the odd help when required and provide peace of mind for you and your family. They can do:
• Housework including cleaning bathroom/kitchen areas
Dish washing, cleaning shoes, cleaning children’s football boots after trainings and games on Saturdays or during holidays.
• Changing bed linen and taking clothes to the laundry for washing.
• Ironing
• Light meal preparation
• Other tasks by arrangement, e.g. prescription collection or dog walking, shopping from super markets and local markets, car washing at home, dog washing etc
• Companionship: many clients value the positive impact offered by their Home Helps. We’re also available for walking companionships so that you feel safe on your walks.
Our Help at Home team is always available to assist at very short notice for as long as or as short a time as you may wish.

How does the personal home assistance Service work?
You choose and advise us the support you require. Our local team will talk to you about your requirements and introduce you to a Home Help who we think matches your requirements. We may even give you the opportunity to meet a couple of suitable assistance so that you get to choose the one who you’re more comfortable with around you. You are at liberty to ask us to send you a different assistant or request for the same assistant whenever they are available. We will be available to ensure you receive excellent service and answer any questions you may have. If required we will, wherever possible, arrange holiday and sickness cover to ensure you receive continuous support. All of our Home Helps are DBS security checked to give you peace of mind and to ensure your safety.
We also provide short term cover
If you have a planned visit to hospital, are recovering from illness, or just need our Help at Home service for a short period of time, we can supply a Home Help. Contact our office for more information and to discuss your requirements.
Our client is looking for a highly professional experienced Housekeeper who is respectful of boundaries and has a calm and unflappable demeanour. You will be a team player and able to work well with the full time nanny, as well as happy to work independently with a proactive mindset and be an excellent all-rounder.
We undertake a range of tasks for the personal home assistance service.
Duties to include:
· Complete care and cleaning of the home to a high standard
· Daily washing and ironing to an extremely high standard
· Deep cleaning of home
· Liaising with contractors and managing regular household appointments (e.g. weekly gardeners, quarterly window/roof cleaners, tree surgeon etc)
· Keeping stock of household inventory and taking charge of weekly online shop
· Running errands – shopping, taking things to post office, dry cleaning etc.
· Handling post and deliveries to the house
· All pet (dog) care – walking daily, keeping clean, vet appointments, medication etc, drop off and pick up to sitter
· Packing and unpacking suitcases
· Watering pot plants in the garden and keeping patio areas and garden furniture clean and tidy
· Helping at annual kids parties including greeting and serving guests, supporting chef and chef’s team while they are at the house and cleaning up afterwards
· Taking family cars for service/MOTs and filling up with petrol
Household admin
· Taking charge of car/pet/home insurances, booking MOTs/car maintenance, paying invoices for contractors etc.
· Managing personal email inbox (filing only, not responding) and booking appointments
· Helping with travel arrangements
· Preparing simple meals (salad or sandwiches) and meal prep (e.g. cutting veg) for mum to cook later (optional)
